Thai Yoga Bodywork

Thai Yoga Bodywork is a form of Thai massage developed from the ancient Indian practices of yoga and Ayurvedic medicine. This type of work focuses on circulation, energy lines and pressure points, moving the body's energy through a series of passive stretches and compressions. It is both relaxing and energizing to receive a session of Thai massage.

A session is done on a padded mat on the floor, with the client fully dressed in loose clothing. The therapist begins at the feet, moving body and limbs through a series of stretches, rocking motions and compressions. To achieve the various stretches, the therapist uses hands, feet, elbows, knees, literally her full body to move the client's body into the various positions. Some say it is like doing yoga without any work. A full body session can last as long as two hours.
